Registered Veterinary Technician

I’ve always had an interest in animal medicine. I am an avid reader and would pick up as many books as possible on different animals, from hamsters to horses to dolphins and cats. I knew that one of my life’s passions would be to care for and help animals.

Before becoming a Veterinary Technician, I worked as a circus performer, performing internationally before settling down in Halifax, NS to teach and perform locally. It was through a circus contract in Western Canada that I discovered Veterinary Technology. I moved home to Nova Scotia, and I started at Dalhousie University later that year and graduated in May 2017 with Distinction.

My special interests in Veterinary Medicine are anesthesia and emergency and critical care.

I continue to perform circus locally and nationally. You will often see me upside down on my trapeze or nine feet tall on stilts at community events and festivals.

I began working at Dartmouth Veterinary Hospital after I graduated from University.
