FAS in Cats: Do You Know What it Looks Like?

Our very talented and very own Veterinary Assistant Robyn has drawn some crazy characters.  See if you can identify these characteristics in her artwork.

Relaxed Cat

  • Soft face with a closed mouth
  • Ears are forward
  • Pupils are normal almond shape and round
  • Tail is away from the body
  • Legs and paws are held away from the body

Fear, Anxiety and Stress (FAS) Cat

  • Open mouth, hissing
  • Ears are held back
  • Pupils are enlarged
  • Tail is against the body
  • Crouched with legs tucked underneath the body
