Aghy’s Blog

Hi! My name is Aghy, and my mom is one of the technicians that work here. I am a two-year-old female spayed Australian Shepherd, who loves adventures. I took ownership of Michelle in 2016, and we have been best friends since. I live on a farm with my “uncle” Roscoe (a golden mix), and my brother Ash (another Aussie), my little brother Rumbles (a tuxedo cat), Lucy my bunny, and all my cows. I’ve also heard a rumour that my mom is getting me a horse for my next little brother!

A typical day in my life looks like this:

  • I wake up, and Ralphie (my grandpa) lets Roscoe and me outside so we can run around to get rid of the early morning zoomies. Then we are fed our breakfast before making the trek up to the barn with Mom, or Barbie (my grandma) to do the chores. Upon the farm, we meet up with Ash and run around the fields for a while, checking in on Mom regularly to make sure she isn’t in any immediate danger.
  • After chores are finished, we head back home for some serious nap time. My afternoons have usually spent either napping, running laps around the house, wrestling with Roscoe, or if we are feeling sneaky, we play in the woods.
  • Around five pm, Mom arrives home from work, and I go crazy showing her my absolute favourite toy; my pink sparkly bone! Mom makes a HUGE fuss over Roscoe and me and gives lots of kisses and belly rubs. Sometimes if I feel like mom has been gone for too long, I tackle her as soon as she opens the car door. I eat my supper, and then I head back up to the barn with Mom to do the evening chores. If there is time, we will go for a hike in the woods. I love to push Roscoe off of the bridge into the water!
  • After all of this, I end my night curled up on my mom’s bed until Ralphie puts Roscoe and me away in our kennels for bed. Usually, my day has been so jam-packed with activities that I fall asleep right away so that I am all rested up for the next day full of adventures.
