Any person who has a kitty that stresses when going for an annual veterinary visit will tell you; it isn’t only just stressful for the kitty, it’s stressful for the owners too! Many cat owners get stressed even just thinking about taking their cat to the veterinarian.
Last week, I had the opportunity to go on a tour of the Royal Canin processing plant. I was flown to Toronto on Wednesday and met up with twenty others from veterinary hospitals from across Canada; veterinarians, technicians, assistants, client services and managers.
Two weeks ago, someone surrendered a three-week-old kitten to our hospital, that they had found in their shed. Everyone immediately fell head over heels for his long black fur, white wisps, and bright blue eyes (cue the arguing over who will keep him).
One of the many joys of dog ownership is catching your furry friend chomping down on a freshly deposited fecal matter. The best part comes when mere seconds later, they want to give you ALL the kisses…right on the mouth.
The past 5 years at Clayton Park Veterinary Hospital have been incredible. Exciting, fun, challenging, heartbreaking, eye-opening, stressful, and at times, difficult; but amazing. Every day that passes, I have fallen more and more in love with animal medicine.
With recent changes to restrictions on businesses, we are pleased to advise that effective July 6, patients seeing a Veterinarian will be able to have one family member inside the hospital for the duration of the appointment.
