It’s that time of year again! We are gearing up to start our seasonal Dental Focus from January 1st – February 28th! If you have ever wanted to get involved in your pet’s dental health, now is the time! Here at Clayton Park Veterinary Hospital, we are offering a variety of opportunities to better your pet’s dental health. We are offering dental assessments, grab bags of dental swag, prize draws, client education seminars, informative decor around the clinic and more!
Dental Focus is my personal favourite Focus for many reasons, but the biggest reason is your pet’s dental health really does play a large role in their overall health.
- Did you know? Dental disease can affect other important organs in your pet’s body, such as the liver, kidneys, and their heart!
- Dental disease can cause a very painful mouth, which could make your pet avoid certain foods and toys and ultimately their quality of life!
- Not only does it look better to have pearly white teeth, but it also smells SO much better. Ever notice your furry friend trying to give you a kiss but you turn away because their breath is so bad? It’s probably a good time to talk to your vet about having a dental cleaning performed.
- Quality of life. In my opinion, it all comes down to this. Pets receiving dental care are more likely to live a happier, oral pain-free, longer life than those not receiving any dental care.
