Cat Euthanasia

Euthanasia is never easy but is the best gift we can give a tired or suffering friend.

When should I consider euthanasia?

Euthanasia should be considered if the cats quality of life has declined. If she is in pain, no longer interacting with her family, cannot eat or drink, and if there is an incurable condition.

What happens during euthanasia?

During euthanasia, the cat is sedated first with a strong painkiller and sedative. Then an IV injection is given which quickly and painlessly stops the heart.

Do you do house calls?

We will do a house call with a bit of advanced notice, so we can allow lots of time to spend with your cat.

Can you stay with your cat during euthanasia?

Yes, you can stay during the euthanasia and afterward, for as much time as you need.

What is the cost of at home or clinic euthanasia?

Please call us for any price inquiries at 902-827-4257.
