Dr. Paige Marryatt, DVM
I graduated from the Atlantic Veterinary College in 2003. I had always been intrigued by medicine and was a natural with animals from the time I could walk. I wanted a challenging career with a focus on problem-solving, and veterinary medicine seemed like a great fit. I had started my education after high school with a focus on psychology and had obtained my degree in that field. I felt that this background could be used in medicine to be a better doctor and to relate to emotional situations in a caring and empathetic manner.
I joined this clinic many years ago when I first moved back to Nova Scotia. A classmate was currently working with them, and I knew that the clinic had a great reputation. I joined the team back in January of 2004. I love the challenge of internal medicine, but I am also very interested in ophthalmology.
I love teaching my clients and seeing them leave with a firm grasp of what we have discussed. I also love that I get to meet the best pets and people and am trusted with their care. The best thing about Harbour Cities is our two clinic cats, Jimmy and Zelda. Well, the staff is pretty great too!
My first "real" pet was a Netherland Dwarf rabbit named Buddy.
