Ultrasound Services Copy
These services are temporarily paused.
We offer full abdominal ultrasounds, ultrasound-guided biopsies and fine-needle aspirates. Same-day reporting is available, along with digital image archiving.
An ultrasound is a non-invasive and painless diagnostic tool used to obtain information on your pet’s organs without going into surgery. This information helps us identify health risks such as tumours (masses), internal bleeding, bladder/kidney stones.
How do you use ultrasound at your clinic?
Ultrasound imaging uses sound waves to produce pictures of the inside of the body. It is used to help diagnose the causes of pain, swelling and infection in the abdomen, pregnancy and bladder stones.
How do you prepare your dog for their Ultrasound appointment?
When bringing your pet in for an ultrasound we often ask that you do not feed your pet the day of the appointment. This will allow for the doctor to assess the organs without the interference of food in the abdomen. Sometimes we will provide your pet with sedation to ensure that your pet is comfortable and that we are able to obtain good diagnostic images.
