Shannon Elliott

Registered Veterinary Technician

I have always enjoyed working with animals and have a special interest in animal training and animal behaviour. After working in several roles in the animal industry I realized that I was passionate about vet medicine. I attended the University of Guelph's Ridgetown Veterinary Technician Program and graduated in 2013.

My husband and I relocated to Nova Scotia in June 2017. Shortly after the move, I had to bring my dogs into Westwood Hills for an emergency. The staff were so great with my pets that when I heard they were looking for a vet tech it seemed like it was meant to be.

A fun fact about me is that I have worked with exotic animals including Asian elephants and primates. My first pet was a German Shepherd mix named Kane. I currently have 2 pugs; Pickle and Cricket. We also have a cat we rescued named Turtle.
