The Journey of Adopting

We all know there is no replacing a treasured pet once we have seen them off to the rainbow bridge.  And that everyone heals differently. I believe it’s what you do with your time that helps heal.

Adopting another animal can take days, weeks, months or even years for some.  Only you know when you are ready to open your home (and heart) back up. This journey took me about 7 months.

I hadn’t planned on adopting another ginger feline but perhaps it was I that was chosen. Roe came from Bide Awhile Animal Shelter.  Ginger tabby, male and personality to boot.

He kept sticking his paw out of the kennel when I walked by as if to say “uh, you! Come back here!”

He quickly made himself at home and has been such a delight.  He is quite the gem.
